Hey everyone! I'm brand new to this site, and about 2 months into my Bonneville owning experience. I won a '96 SSE, Bright Red with Black leather interior, sunroof, every option except for the performance shifting buttons. I currently have over 240,000 miles on her, but she runs like new. Only thing I have a problem with is the A/C compressor bearing is shot so it screams. Paint is in remarkable shape for the age and mileage, interior is like 95% mint!
I recently sold my 1989 ASC/McLaren Turbo Grand Prix, 1 of 995 made that year, which was also Bright Red and had a tan leather interior. I put a ton of time and money into her, but it was time to move on...so I bought an SSE!
I live in New Ulm, Minnesota, and I'm just looking to learn as much about these cars as I can, and hopefully meet some cool people.

Welcome Krenzy.
So can we assume with all the options that it has a blower?

LOL ok, so almost all options. I actually opted for a non-supercharged engine. I seem to have bad luck with power-adders. My SHO, my Turbo Grand Prix.......well, the TGP ran great after a 7k investment.

Not sure why it looks like I won it, can you explain? I did buy it though.
Andy good to see ya on here! Too bad you don't have any spare 96-99 parts anymore. Not that I ned any, but you can enver have too many spares. By the way, I think you owe me a ride in that SSEi yet lol.

Hey thanks for the welcome! It seems I see you everywhere! I listed the TGP on eBay and after a day and a half someone used the Buy It Now function and that was it!
Did you happen to check out my FQuick for my Bonne pics?

yes i did it looks very good. I wish i could find a BLT that nice. But i guess i will just have to keep trying to piecing 2 of them together. I picked up the 87 BLT that you wanted the steering wheel off of. Had to drive to Anoka, MN to get it

Dayamn! You got a bit of a rarity there, ya lucky barstard! Red Bonnies are vanishingly rare.
Anyway, I'm pretty familiar with New Ulm, used to be up there every couple of weeks to deliver TimberTech to a lumberyard right off the highway.

Wow! I knew that the Red Bonne's were a bit on the uncommon side, though I didn't know that until after I bought it. No rust at all, a couple of scuffs on the paint...but for 246K miles and a '96, and Minnesota winters. I think I got lucky. Gonneville, you don't know how rare it is to find anyone knows where New Ulm is!
Freddy, you should have let me know you were in Anoka. I was just there last month. Hallowe'en Capitol of the World there, so I HAD to go!

I think bright red is the rarest color out there. I've only seen a few, and only one SSE. Never personally seen an SSEi, but there's been a couple members here with them.
As for New Ulm, there's a lumber yard on the edge of town, first exit off 14 coming in from the east. I delivered there about once every other month. Even stopped in Mankato a few times to visit Haro.
I've also deliivered to Springfield, and even Sleepy Eye.
