Accel pedal very soft

Hi all, ever since the car was new the gas pedal has been very sensitive. On my other cars I can rest my foot on the pedal and then press lightly to speed up or let off to slow down, but with the bonneville even the lightest touch will make the car accelerate. It can be uncomfortable for long trips where I'm constantly having to move my foot on and off the pedal to go with the flow of traffic.

Anyone else have this issue? What should I try to tighten/adjust to make the pedal more stiff?
