Transgo do you scuff or not scuff accumulator walls?

I've never installed a Transgo kit but now must.
Is it worth the bother to scuff the walls of the accumulator?
Is it better to just replace the pistons?
Hoping that Harofreak00 will offer his input.

I've installed dozens of the kits, and I've never scuffed the walls nor replaced the pistons. Just replace the springs and spacers and be done.

Didn't scuff mine either. Working great 180k miles later.
