Ignition issue

Hi all
Is or has anyone used the zzp high voltage coils and 10.5mm wires? I'm asking cause I'm currently using them with ngk laser iridium itr6f13. Since install I'm having a " big down" randomly through all rpms even at idle. Ran it with the plugs gapped at the .052 then gapped them to the .060 the car calls for with no change. Checked the firing order a million times. Has anyone run into this before? Or maybe the wires/coils are to much?

Do you have stock items to swap on as a test?

Based on my experience with those exact products, one of your coil packs is shot. I had mine on for less than a year before one of them went south on me. Very disappointing.

Swap out with a stock one until you isolate which one so you can verify the cause. Then throw away the zzp coil packs and replace them with stock. Lol.

Their wires hold up just fine, no issues, but check to make sure they haven't been touching anything too hot and gotten burnt through.

I don't have any other stock parts left. Coils were cracked. I put in a brand new ICM and it made it worse to the point could barely go up a hill. I swapped my old one back in. Checked everything all over again. I'm gonna swing by NAPA and see if they will warranty my old wires. Also I have only been using the zzp plugs and wires for maybe about 2 weeks now has been happening since day one.

Is there a junk yard near you where you can take off the whole ICM assembly with the coils on it?
Any 3800 starting with the year 2000 and up should work.
If not contact Andrew at Bonnevilles Unlimited (507) 220-2000 and he should be able to help you.

you should pull the code and maybe it will pinpoint the cylinder# - then you trace to coil....wire, plug

the cheap oem coils are about 30 bucks. get one for spare /diagnosis if needed

I did try that but no luck. No codes no misfires. Drove it with the tech 2 trying to isolate what cylinder but all day looked good. Gonna need to drive with a co pilot to verify.

For what it is worth the last time my ICM went bad the SES light never came on and it did not throw a code.
I really think you have an ICM issue.
The new ICM'S are all Chinese garbage.
Try and get an OEM one from a junkyard or from Andrew.
