Hi@everyone
I got a problem with my DIC, just like this
http://www.pontiacbonnevilleclub.com/fo ... 34330.html
50/50:Sometimes it works fine. OR during systems check it flashes and then turns off and again 50/50 DIC starts to work after 5-10 mins
Compass and everything else in the cluster always work fine
I didn't check fuses because it's night already
Any suggestions?

you may want to remove the dic and check the connection in rear

I had the same issues in my 97. Was never able to fully resolve it after 5 times removing the dashboard and instrument cluster to clean and manage the pins. If you're ready to try that I have the process documented somewhere on this forum, in detail with photos and things I had to learn the hard way. Let me know if you have any trouble locating my post about that.
What it seems to come down to is both clusters (Compass and DIC) are connected to the computers with a separate bulk wire connector (20+ pins?) I saw mine had a bent pin, not sure from what, nor if that had anything to do with the problems. I noticed when it would flicker off that I could press on the plastic cover (fully assembled) and pressing it towards the front of car (into the dashboard) would illuminate it temporarily, though sometimes it would stay on. I'll look for the article, I hope you are able to fix yours, it used to bug the piss out of me, every time I thought it seemed resolved.... and my heart would feel failure when it shut off again.

92 WOULD NEED AN obd1 scanner - get a basic one that will pull some real-time data also - the good ones get very pricey
$100 - 200 should get you one that will help you be happy.
