1992 SSEi turns over slow

Turns over slow, mostly noticeable on a cold start. If engine is already warm, the turn over speed is pretty close to normal. Engine always fires up right away, it just turns over slower than normal. Battery is good and I replaced the starter to see if that would fix the issue but it did not. I am thinking maybe bad ground to starter or positive cable not making good connection from battery to starter?

Did you ever fix or find out what the problem was?

The starter gounds its self out on the engine. If I remember right, theres a stock ground wire bolted to the back of the block by the power steering pump.
I would look at the positive wire connections from the battery to the starter and the battery ground connections.
Corrosion can start at the connector and creep up the wire under the insulation.
