I noticed that when you purchase a replacement pump, you can
buy them "supplied with (or) without the EVO component".

I need that on my SSEi, but I was wondering if you remove the
EVO from the old pump and put it on the new one, or if you
need to buy the pump with that EVO already installed.

I don't know if it can to be swapped like the pulley, or is
it installed when the pump is made and I need to spend the
extra cash to get a pump with that part on it. The FSM is
not clear on this at all.

Just to clarify.

The EVO (electronic variable orifice) is part of the
TFE (two flow electronic) steering pump.

It can be moved to the new pump.Just a heads up,the high pressure line should be replaced along with the pump, most manufacturers require this as part of the warranty.

Why would it be crucial to change the high pressure line?
Has it been modified or redesigned or is there a TSB about it?
What's up?

The warranty on the delco pump I got required it to be changed.I was like you and wondered why,but decided for 17 bucks more I would replace it.Maybe yours won't require the hose as mine did.??
