My new Bonnie 2015 Chevy SS SLIHRM 6-speed Manual

I purchased this last month. The color is Some Like it Hot Red Metallic. Looks copperish red to me. Some say it looks orange to them but it does change color with different lighting. One things for sure, it is not a bright red which I did not want. I really wanted to get a G8 GXP a few years ago but it just wasn't in the budget at the time. I am glad that GM finally brought this car back last year and added the manual option to it now! Too bad it is going away either next year or 2017. Oh well I got one!
I purchased it form a dealer in Connecticut (I am in VA) because, like my truck, my local chevy dealer did not want to sell me anything other than what they had on their lot.. My truck came from a dealer in Ohio. They have now lost two sales from me and me as a buying customer unless, in the future, they actually have a car I want. I will not waste my time with them anymore. Oh well. The test ride was fun! They always seem to buy odd colors and only had automatics to choose from. I had not intention on buying an automatic and was upfront with them from the beginning.
This was optioned with a sunroof and manual trans. It came with an inflator instead of a spare. I worked out a deal with the dealership to get a spare. I am not sure why anyone would not pay $500 for a full size spare when it come with an actual front rim, not a dummy or steel wheel. The rim alone cost more than the sticker option when buying the car new.
I thought about ordering a 16 but did not like some of the changes they have made to them. Hood vents (takes away the stealth appearance), CD player delete, fog light delete and the additional ($1,000) cost for GGT that the 15's got around. Plus when I purchased this GM had a $3,000 incentive which I was able to apply to supplier price on this car. The dual mode exhaust and the LED lighting that the 16's are getting is really cool though.

This is an online better picture of the dash.

I have replaced the grocery bags with Weathertech floor liners. Just had to wait for them to come in. I replaced the driver's visor with one that has homelink. That is not an option on this car. I have an Airaid intake with a red dry synthetic filter on order. I would like to add a Corsa cat back and that will happen later. They do not make on for this car but the one they offer for the G8 does fit. It delete the pup cats though. So that may only happen after the warranty expires, unless they release on that doesn't delete anything or, and I hope, just release an axle back muffler.

SO MUCH WANT.
Congrats!!! Any plans for blackout pieces, etc? Also, someone on FB is making engraved badges for your car, even includes the # of production, etc. The group is Chevy SS Performance Sedan. I'm on there because I was added by someone from the G8 group, and I stay to drool, lol.

Thanks. I am a member there and seen that. I messaged him and wanted to get a little more info on it. He said he would look into adding more to it and get back with me. I see terrancew3 also added a plague on his too. I wonder where he got his.
At this time I have no intentions on blacking anything out. I don't really have much planned for mods. I have added a full set of Weathertechs. I changed the oil cap to a GM Mobil one cap. I have a plaque I am adding under the hood that says Mobil 1 5W-30 factory fill. I replace the driver's visor with a new one that has homelink. I ordered a Airaid intake with a red dry synthetic filter. I wouldn't mind changing the rear tail lights to LED. If I run across one that has the same tail light design like my Enclave has. It has something like a LED strip and the light reflects withing the tail light assembly. Also similar to the LED strip in the new F150 headlights. IMO that looks a lot better than a bulb upgrade. Other than this list and added a CORSA exhaust to it at some point I don't see me doing much else.

What's your name?
The 2016 Auzzie cars will have LED tails, but they won't technically be USDOT legal. I can see Crazy Paul sending a lot over...

I almost made a comment that you really need a tune because it really helps with the shift points, then remembered M6... But you should still get a tune.

No tune for me. I haven't even tuned my truck lol. I did tune my last truck and until it got on the dyno I didn't care for the mail order tune. Both my truck and this are 400+ HP & TQ I am actually happy with the power they already have. Last truck was a F150 with a 5.4L it was a dog. I did a full exhaust with LT headers HF cats and Corsa catback, AF1 3.5" intake and a dyno tune from Mike Troyer. Fortunately he was only about 4 hours from me. That helped but still never really happy with the power out of that truck.
Maybe I am just showing my age for not wanting a tune lol

Haha. My Denali has the same engine as your truck. I'm definitely not upset with the power, but I'd always like more, lol.

Mine does
not have
AFM
It has the NHT package and came with 3.73 gears. The first three gears are so low it hops into forth pretty quick when driving it normal

I don't think mine has AFM either. It does have VVT. Mine also has 3.42 gears. All the better for roadtrips, lol.

The color is much better than I was expecting. I really wanted to get the Mystic Green (actually gray) or Silver but there are none available with manual transmission. The only 3 other color options aside from ordering a 2016 were black, bright red or this metallic red that is more of a copperish red color by day and a burnt orangeish red at night. Here is a couple night pictures I stole from FB. I have not taken any night shoots of mine yet.
In the middle of the day when the sun is bright it really stands out too. No pictures of that sorry. I mostly catch this when I am at work but I can't take pictures. I need to do this one day when I am off work.

Great pickup!!!! I'm jealous.

Those annoy me. Unless the production number was added from the factory, it doesn't belong on the car.

I guess that is all in how you look at it or just a difference in opinion. With the limited number of these cars I like the idea of having one on the car. I would have ordered one If he was able to personalize it to what I wanted on it. I still may, if I can find someone that offers me options for this. I just wanted the full stats for the production numbers on my car.
I'm sure the 2016 model year will change this but, currently there were more G8 GXP's with manual transmission built in the 1/2 year production of that car than there are manual SS's. The dealers are just not ordering this car with a manual in them

Maybe they won't order any for this next model year and my car will be even more rare

Right now... I despise you.
P.S. the fog light delete, no matter how bright those LED's are is one of the changes for '16 I despise too.
P.S.S. I get your point about not doing business with this dealer in the future because of your past experience, but do you think they really care? They aren't going to go out of business because you won't deal with them.
We'd get *shoot* like this all the time too. If we could get it via a dealer transfer, we would. If not, sorry. Some people think that all dealers are open to swaps. A lot of time, yes but many times they're not. They aren't about to give up an SS if all you have to give them in return is a few Malibu's (for example). Dealerships are independent owned, with their own inventory purchased out of their own bank account. They aren't a GM franchise. As such, if I'm holding a hot commodity, I better get a hot commodity in return.
