Spacers, anybody running them?

My Olds has the wheels (225's) inset a fair bit in from the fender lip, so I was just looking at a 1-1/8 set of spacers for sale locally. Is anybody here running spacers? Curious how much it affects the ride, and any other things it might affect.
Cheers

I have some 16mm ones for my brakes. They do not effect the ride. If you are going a whole inch you might want to look into adapters so you won't have to get longer studs.
I used this place

A 1" or 1.25" adapter seems to be fairly common and as stated you won't need to use longer studs, can get a pair for around $60.

I've been running spacers and adapters for years w/out issue. I've ordered a few sets from motorsport-tech too.

Will had spacers on his red 96 SSEi, and it made the car rub with passengers. I do not remember the size of them, but they were hefty. It fixed the inset look of the fitment but at a price.

Apparently the guy was running them on his Ranger, and he was quite adamant that his spacing was 114.3, but I'm not going to argue. I think I may hold out for a set of hub-centric spacers, since these apparently have a 3 inch center-bore.
Thanks for all the input!

Rolling the gyhugic rear lip is a must on the 92-99 H to get anywhere near flush. I rubbed with GP x-laces and no spacers.

I think if my 88 was lower in the rear my swoopies would rub on the lib bad. I think they might hit on hard bumps but not sure.

Out of curiosity, any one have pictures of their ride with the spacers on?
