Since I got my '01 SSEi there has been a rattle. Sounds like what I thought was the spare tire/ jack rattling around in the trunk. Have checked that and everything else I can reach. All are tight. It has been suggested that it might be the toe compensator bar. This doesn't sound heavy like a suspension component. Like I said more like the jack handle rattling around. Need some input here. Thanks

Pretty sure I am the one that made the suggestion to you on the facebook group. The rattle from it will not sound like a heavy suspension rattle, it will be a fast light rattle that would make you think something is loose in the trunk.

Another suggestion would be to get in the trunk and have someone drive you down a safe low traffic road and see if you can pinpoint the noise back there, a few members have had to do that to track down noises.

funny how paths cross. I will be checking that part out tomorrow. Appreciate the answer. Was hoping for something less dramatic
