It's crazy how super rare these tailights are, and priced accordingly! But I managed to snag this one for a mere $35 off Ebay. :btruestory:
I can't wait to get it on my car.

That's great! The 1988 SSE Bonneville is what made me fall in love with Bonneville's again. The LE's and SE's were/are ok, but the SSE really did it for me. Glad you're keeping her going. - BC

I managed to snag 2 sets of new OEM tail lamps about 10 years ago.. One fo these days my 91 will be brought back from the dead.. Those lamps are hard to find in good shape and for $35 you win for sure..

Curious, thats an odd ball LE, Most didn't have those alloys unless optioned up.. Does that car have Keyless Entry? Would be RPO AU0.. Also wondering if thats an F41 Firm Ride And Handling Bonneville... Most of the time with those wheels those were equipped with F41..

I think you're right, a quick look at the rpo codes shows F41, and maybe some other strange stuff but no keyless entry.

I've been enjoying the car lately, after doing quite a bit of maintenance and small repairs. I've been driving it daily, and I might make a 10,000 mile review of it. Not many people are driving these older cars daily, and working on them themselves. It's quite an experience at times. :beerchug:

Great work getting the tail light lens! That Metro Van off to the side makes you look like you're in Houston. Not so sure I'd park that close to one. - BC

Thanks everyone! Ya, the pics were taken in Alvin where I work. In the year that I've been there that was the only time the Metro Van parked there, they are always in another lane. I work the 2nd shift, so no one was getting in or out of the Metro Van, while the Bonneville was parked there. :)

I really like your car. It's awesome to see such a clean 91. Up here in Wisconsin it's rare to see any Bonneville of that generation let alone that clean. Very Very nice.

Ebay and salvage yards. You'll just have to keep at it. Also feel free to start a thread in the Wanted section if you haven't already, in the event that someone is willing to let one go.

You scored a really nice taillight. I usually find them intact but the lenses are cloudy or cracked. My fiancé gets excited when she finds a pair of nice shoes at a good price well I get the same high going to the junkyard and finding something I can use in great condition and at a good price. Didn't GM use those rims on their Montana minivan?
