ssei suspension and brake questions.

Well, looks like this spring I will finally have the chance to strip the ssei and swap everything over into my se finally. Got a new job making double the pay helps :). Anyways one thing I am wondering and I searched but with no real answers is how different is the suspension, mainly the struts? I know the swaybars are bigger and such, but is there a real difference with the struts? I'd just as soon not pull the struts out of the ssei unless it was essential to my plans. Kind of need it to be a roller when done. As far as that goes I dont really care if I have the air rid system off the ssei anyways, and would rather use some type of higher performance struts in the car. I also plan on going the '00 spindle route and using the bigger brakes and strut options from the w bodies.

Now onto brake questions... So in doing the '00 bonne spindle upgrade I supposedly can use fbody calipers right? Thats what I read in a search, but yet havent heard any definitive answer from someone who has gone that route. Also something I am trying to figure out is what particular car would I be able to grab some rear disc setup from and hopefully use as a bolt on to my 92 se? There were alot of gms that had rear discs in the 90's, but has anyone figured out what particular models would interchange with our bonnevilles? Obviously I do realize that I would need to go with an adjustable proportioning valve, and perhaps a bigger MC, but that aside and not being an issue for me, I really hope that someone around here has done that upgrade.

Thanks to everyone who reads this and has some nice, knowledgable input.

---And... Happy Valentines Day to everyone :)

Have you read either of my '93 SSEi or '97 LeSabre builds? Each has F-body front calipers and the SSEi has rear disc brakes.

There is a rear disc setup or three, each are rare to find, that you need the caliper brackets to use. A junkyard only find for the brackets. The biggest issue is making or finding a bolt on set of brackets. You could use any rear disc brake caliper if you could make or find a bracket to hold it. As it is, your best bet is to find the '85-ish rear disc brakes off an Eldorado, I've got a thread with the details here somewhere.

For the front end:

There's a couple typos and it's 7 years old but the info/visuals should help.

On the rear, it seems like the toughest part is not locking up the rear wheels.
