Wife got a turkey and dripped raw turkey juice all in trunk. Took carpet out and sprayed down with bleach but I am looking for a replacement.

Is there a place(besides dealer) that sells the original factory carpet? Briefly checked a couple and couldn't find.

I guess I could by an aftermarket "mat"? But these are usually made to go over the factory floor mat for trunk.

Any links would be appreciated.

You can try and cut your own to shape out of a big piece of fabric from Home Depot or similar, or PM Harofreak00. I'm sure he has a trunk carpet he can sell you.

The factory mat is pretty rigid, I'd think shipping cost on a box like that would be kinda high...

Did the bleach damage it?

This may sound odd, but my favorite cleaning solvent is brakekleen. YES! It works. The main ingredient in brakekleen is the same thing dry cleaners use.

And yes, we've even used it on our furniture when the kids have spilled something.

Did not know that. I usually just use laundry soap and a stiff bristle brush.

As a preemptive warning, I would always try it on an test spot first. But yea, we've even used it on our dining room chairs and couch when they spill something.

The trunk carpet can be rolled up and shipped easily, but it is thin enough and porous enough that a good cleaning should easily save it with no need for actual complete replacement.

I have a stack of good ones, they are easily shippable.

I cut out the the rough underside and sprayed it liberally with a 45-50% mix of bleach. It's still drying.
I didn't care if it ruined it because there was no way I could keep it with the raw turkey blood smelling like a dead animal carcass.
