just a shot in the dark here, but has anyone ran times after each modifcation they have done.. i think it would be cool to see what downpipe, or headers alone would do then another run adding a fwi or rockers.. then pulleys and tunes.. i kno it would be rough and not all cars are the same.. but would be nice to see what kind of range the modifications would put you in. or is that too farfetched?

I'm sure there are a lot that have done it after a couple mods, but maybe not very many who would run after each mod, as that could get expensive. Personally I have ran this car three times. First was stock except for the FWI and put down a 15.1. Then I did it with the addition of the Intense computer, 3.6 pulley and downpipe and saw 14.6. And most recently (yesterday in fact) I ran again. This time was the addition of headers, shift kit, and now a 3.4 pulley and I saw 14.3 with a terrible wheel spinning launch a few times.

The best I have to offer is completely stock except a port and polished top end, a SC with stripped rotors and a CAI, in a '86 LeSabre, I ran a 15.14, no track prep. Put the motor in a '93 Bonneville, with an NIC and a 3.25 pulley, removed headlight, LG3 manifolds, raised shift points and 13 degrees of timing put me at 14.6. Dyno shows 250hp, not sure if I trust that though.

Probably not to many of us have tried each individual mod against the clock, to see if a modification has worked you would need to do several runs under the same conditions. For example if you got your times for a weekend racing when it was hot and windy, changed something and tried again next weekend when it was cold and no wind, how would you know if your mod or the conditions affected your times?.
Back when I was interested in getting more power from an engine most magazines I read would run articles about how various mods worked on a dyno. Not real world conditions I know, but a level playing field to get an idea of what worked and what didn't.

I have ran after every single mod I have done. A lot of mods have to work together to work properly

We've decided to drop the motor in the ACG car and run it once in full street trim, then do the weight reduction and run it again. Unfortunately the stock motor in the car was toast, so it won't have a stock baseline.

Stock - 15.5 sec
No Cat - 15 sec
Headers & 3.4 - 14.5
1.9 rockers & Gen V - 14.
Lsd & drag radials - 13.5

.....just the major changes but a lot of others to support.

i keep getting myself amped up to do mods and then i realize i drive mine everyday and would almost be a waste.. i drive 60 hwy miles a day to work. plus i now have a cv axle to replace on our stratus. i just got my maintenance up to par from what the previous owners did not do. i have a hi flow cat and my res removed.. im gonna gut my air box for now and put a k&n drop in. the farthest i may go is downpipe fwi and 3.6
