I'm over due to do this to my car,and i would like to do it one time only. I don't drag race any more, but you never know. One son has a 07 impala SS he wold like to run. If he run's it at atco i will run the bonnie just for fun. So i need a cv axle that will hold up.

Are your boots tore and are they clicking? If not they don't need replacement. If they are failing then just go with a good condition used one. I have had much better luck over the years with used factory replacements then I have with new or rebuilt aftermarket axles.

You could reboot and regrease the JY replacements for some added security.

Personally I would still get a used OEM replacement. Basically as long as the boots aren't torn they will outlast the car.
