Finally got my blower motor out. :banghead: Now to buy one, but first I have a question; will this acdelco one from rockauto work? It looks like a second gen with a first gen housing...or will i have to buy one that looks exactly like the one I have? I have the first gen motor btw.

Buy the one that looks like what you have. The two different styles of blower are completely different.

Also, if you think by buying Delco brand you're avoiding Asian products, you're dead wrong. The only thing made in USA on a Delco fan motor is the box (it says Made in USA right on it). You will find, however, that the product inside the box was made overseas; my new one was made in Vietnam. The unit that was installed at the factory was made in Korea. The point is, maybe it's better to save 50% over the Delco brand and buy a discounted Chinese one. Paying $50 more for a box that says "Delco" and "Made in USA" doesn't seem cost effective. If I ever have to change another one, I'm getting the cheap Amazon one.

Alright, that's what I was thinking, and went ahead and ordered the one that looks like mine.

Sirius: Hmm didn't know that. Ordered a ACDelco starter for the Camaro, gonna have to check that out. Only reason I try to go with ACDelco or Delphi is to put closest to OEM as possible unless I'm upgrading.

Yep, that's what I typically do too. I was astonished to find that my Delco fan motor had “Made in USA” on the box, and “Made in Vietnam” on the part. How do they get away with that? I’m not saying all ACDelco parts are this misleading, but this one is. You'd hope the Vietnamese item is made to GM specs, but now I have to wonder. (It fit in my car and works fine, BTW). I'm interested to see where your starter is made!

(Looks like Photobucket is up to its tricks again and has rotated the image. I don't feel like doing battle with this today).

Well, I got it in and looked the part over, and if I remember correctly, it did say that it was made in the US. I would have to double check though since I didn't write it down or anything. The starter works so much better than the other did when it worked though! lol
