Backed into my dads car. Its a 98 Cadillac STS. Its all from the front license plate

is it marks or gouges?

is the paint gone?

its gouges. kinda deep but not that deep. Im just trying to clean it up as best as i can to trade for a bonneville

looks like its down to the plastic to me. no fixing it without touchup paint.

Used some sratch remover and some stuff

repaint or touchup is your only solution when the paint is gone.

to be done "rght" this is actually a very big undertaking..

I would go to a junkyard and try to get a bumper cover from an STS of the same color. Too much work involved in sanding and repainting, and probably more expensive than buying a used one. They're relatively common and it shouldn't be too expensive. I'm not sure how this will effect trade in value, but if it DOES - I would replace the bumper cover completely.
