Thought I would share a couple of other cars that I got in my collection..Ive been infatuated with K-cars since I was 4, I grew up with a black 86 Reliant (RIP 1986-2005) it managed to reach 375 K before the spring went up through the trunk..But thankfully my beautiful florida aries is still around...my dad bought this car for me at age 11. Since then it has been Restored....
Of course what good is a car collection if you don't got the original original...This is my baby more so than the blue 88 you see pictured on top..I bought her for 600.00 from a club member..its got a few rough spots that were bondoed about 15 years ago..but still very original and presentable...I LOVE THIS CAR!!! This is the only year for no roll down rear windows..and the only year for the blue color schemed 2.2..

Interesting toy choices, but I must say, very impressive examples. I love really clean low mileage stuff, especially when it's this obscure...

What is that thing in front of the engine, looks like a compressor?

I was gonna say the same thing about interesting toy choices, much less restoring one, but to each their own.
Does this one have all the electronic dash, radio, climate control, etc...

I approve. Those look like real time-warp examples. Can't be too many left in that condition!

Definetely time capsules of the 80's. I remember sitting in my first K-car back then, and admiring all the electronics they had, dash, stereo, etc...

My first two cars were K cars, 1984 Dodge Rampage and 1986 Dodge Aries. The Rampage was rusted to hell and never actually drove it, the Aries I picked up with what was thought to be a blown engine with the intent of swapping the Rampage engine in. Turns out the starter was locked up, cleaned that up and it started up, drove it for two years.... When it wasn't broke

the thing was in very very good shape but was about the biggest pile ever. At the time though I loved it, was the same color as your blue one above.

The first car I ever learned to drive in was an '88 Plymouth Reliant. My mom bought it in 1990 and we went everywhere in that car. It held up real well and drove fine for years, and probably never had an oil change in the whole time that we owned it (my dad didn't like the car, and my brother and I knew little about cars at the time).
The under body started to rust, so my parents picked up a '97 LeSabre in early 2000. Later that year, my mom sold it to a friend, who somehow managed to blow the engine only after owning it for 6 weeks.
I had a lot of fun in that car. Drove many places in it and jammed to some great tunes in that car. It seems you have a couple of really good examples of K cars. Keep them nice!

I also got another K-car as well, an 86 the same year as the one I grew up with....this pic is Circa 1996...black 86 Reliant was with us until it got so rusty the spring went up through the trunk...at 375 K..in this pic It had around 190 K....silver one in the garage was a POS....funny how one can be good and one bad..
the day before the junking...I miss this car so much......

This is my other K-car that needs some love this year...new tires...and a few other things...Paint is starting to show age, mismatched in one corner of the facia, due to rock chip, which is keeping me from showing it...I did show it with the flaw but I got more picky as i got older...

Yea, I don't kid in regards to that matter. I consider that domestic terrorism.

Very nice! Brings back fond memories of the K-cars in my family. My parents had a '84 Aries sedan, 2-tone silver & black, when I was born. Shortly thereafter, they upgraded to a tan '86 Reliant station wagon that served us well for almost 10 years, till they bought they replaced it with a string of Chrysler minivans. Many childhood memories with that wagon!
Other family members had an Acclaim and Dynasty, some friends' parents had a turbo Shadow and Sundance Duster (my dad almost bought one too). My childhood babysitter had a red Aries, and our next door neighbors had a silver one. A family friend had a nearly-new New Yorker with the pop-up headlights. My one grandpa had a couple K-car wagons when they were new, and my other grandpa had a red '87 Aries wagon that he found in a barn a few years ago, excellent shape with 75k on it. He just sold it 2 years ago with little over 80k. Amazing how a car that was everywhere in its day is nearly extinct now.
Having grown up with these, I'm still fond of them, whether the K-cars or their offshoots. Always loved the Daytonas and the Shelby Chargers as a kid, still kinda want one.

The Rampage is something you certainly don't see nowadays. Are they considered a K-car? I thought they were Omni/Horizon-based.
