So unbeknownst to me the driver side outer tie rod end was too worn to pass inspection even though I never felt any symptoms or indicators. Due to some unforseen cirumcstances moneys a bit tight right now. I was shopping around and wondered if anyone has any advice on brands?

I was looking at the Moogs:

also saw the much cheaper Driveworks brand:

I try to buy Moog parts when possible, however after installation $60.00 bucks, I need an alignment as well another 80 bucks.... so I'm looking to save if possible, but dont want crap parts, so if need be ill bite the bullet and buy the Moogs. Any help and or recommendations would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

I would use the Moog.

Honestly you could do it you it your self and save the installation

Indeed I most likely could, but right now I have no garage or shelter to do it in and its been 5 degrees with a negative 10 windchill snow and no chance of easing up for the next week, sounds like a bad time lol. Ill just go with the Moogs, they actually have them for 31.99 on Amazon but even with prime I wont get them till Tuesday. I have a 30% discount at Autozone so that will bring the Moogs down to around 39.00 and I can buy in store...

I'm very OCD so the piece of mind of wondering if a cheaper brand is going to fail or not doing what its supposed to do is probably worth the extra money... :btruestory:

I cheaped out once and never again! The cheap brand lasted about 3 months. My steering felt sloppy. And since I had to pay for another alignment 3 months later the cheap brand cost me more in the long run.
