Kr under mid throttle

Ok I am having issues with my 1996 pontiac bonneville ssei. When I hit the gas about half way I start to see kr on my scan guage. I noticed that it happened almost as soon as I get into boost. Does anyone have any clue why this happens.

I have that problem. What are your mods, if any?

Magnaflow converter 3 inches in and out and a k&n air filter. Also I believe it has a 3 inch downpipe on it but I'm not sure. That would have been done before me. I'm contacting check it out. What would call this. I hate not being able to give it some throttle. Especially when I'm running late for work. Also I realized that my lftf goes up when I hit the gas. It hangs around 10. Is that a bad thing?

Does it not happen if you go straight to WOT?

If it's not boosting, then it doesn't do it.

Hmm. Different than mine. I don't get KR when I give it heavy throttle.

Do you have an idea about what's going on? Do you need more information?

There are others that would be better at figuring this one out.

That is part throttle KR. If your transmission is not shifting down to a lower gear when you demand throttle, it can cause a very low RPM sluggish acceleration. As your transmission ages, you may need to have someone tune your torque management to help. This can sometimes create a lean condition. If you gear down your car into 2nd or 3rd, does it do the same? Try manually shifting down, then doing the same throttle response.
Sometimes, part throttle KR is false, for example something on your engine or exhaust hitting the body during acceleration. Check your motor and trans mounts to make sure you do not have excessive roll resulting in a physical contact. I have even seen that some cars with exhaust work done can drone enough at certain RPM to make the knock sensors think there is knock, but that is more rare than a physical contact.
I would suggest you pull out your MAF, and use a proper evaporative cleaner to clean it. Someone before your time may have over-oiled the KN filter. If the MAF is dirty, it can sometimes cause the car to think there is less air going into the engine than actual, meaning the fuel supply will be lean until the O2 picks up the lean state and forces the PCM to add fuel. Between the MAF providing lower than normal data, and the O2 responding to that lean condition, you will see KR, however at WOT, you may not.

I feel like this is a dumb question, but what octane fuel are you running.

I also sprayed down the maf sensor with maf sensor cleaner and I am still seeing kr. I am using 93 octane Also all my mounts are good except for the rear driver side transmission mount and I have no idea where to find the mount at. Other than that every other mount looks good.

Is there anything else that I can try? I'm lost right now.

Have you any way to post up a scan? Did you try and accelerate the same way when the trans is in a lower gear, not OD?

What do I need to scan and post. I have a scanner.

Is 100 octane unleaded available in your area? If so, try a tank. You may not be getting 93 octane at the pump, even though that's what it says.

I'm not sure if it's available, but I'm gonna try that if it is.

Would my car running rich cause the kr.
