Parts Interchange Question

Buddy has a 01 Grand Prix GT that will be going to the scrapyard soon - I already plan on getting everything I can from the A/C system, coils and other misc motor parts but everything was in perfect mechanical condition before the windows were smashed out of the car so I'm curious if there are any other parts that I should pull to have on hand that will work on my 00 SSEI. Thanks in advance for any advice!

We had a 98 GP GT and I do not recall much on there that will work in the Bonneville other than some of the engine parts that you mentioned. There is really nothing in the interior that you can use to the best of my knowledge. You can save some bulbs like the for the headlamps, taillamps, , fuses and relays.

Don't use the coils from that Grand Prix on your SSEi if it's a GT. If it's not supercharged, the coils on your L67 in the SSEi are stronger than his GP coils. They'll work and bolt up, but they're slightly weaker.

Well I have a random miss in one of my cylinders that happens whenever it pleases - the only thing I havn't replaced is my coil pack so I think I'd rather know they're newer and work 100% if it would'nt cause any problems.

They will work just fine for that, but as mentioned they have a slightly lower output voltage.

Are the fuel tanks the same or different? Should I expect any problems with the A/C parts bolting right up?

I would guess no on the tank. But, for that, and the A/C parts you are interested in taking, I would just open rock auto in two tabs, and compare part numbers.
