Hi, have a 2000 Bonneville, last night it began to no crank no start, I have lights, everything comes on but it will not crank, I pulled the starter and used jumper cables, the Bendix pops out and spins, took and had it tested just to make sure and it passed fine. The battery voltage is 12.3, the battery and cables are new, the ground is clean and secure, any ideas? I am thinking it could be the ignition switch or the neutral safety switch, I have jiggled the shifter (automatic) while trying to start it in both park and neutral, I cannot seem to find the neutral switch, some say it is in the engine compartment, some say it in in the center console by the shifter. My security light comes on with all the other lights in the dash, and goes off when they do too, I put a new starter relay in it too, someone please help!

A weak battery can read good on voltage, but can't supply the massive amperage required to turn the engine over. You should pull the battery and take it to have it load tested. If the battery tests okay, you should check the cables for connection integrity. I once found my main positive lead going to the under hood fuse/relay center was not tightened securely and was causing all kinds of random problems.

Jumping on the tread here, since I've had similar issues this week. It started to cool down in Indiana (40s in the morning) and I noticed that the bonnie ('01 SSEi) sounded a little weak when starting. However, it started and ran just fine for my 30 mile commute all week until Thursday. At the end of my commute, I parked and shut off the car. Then, 1 minute later, I went back to it to move parking spaces and the car didn't have enough juice to start. I left it alone for about an hour, then it started up ok (still sounding weak, though, but got me 30 miles home no problem).

Today, I took the battery to O'Reilly and it tested just fine. What can I check next?

Even if the starter solenoid is good, the starter can go bad. The coils in the motor eventually burn out. The starter may sound weak before it finally stops working.
