Michigan Mega Meet!

Friday September 13th to Monday September 16th. I have Friday off and don't work until 3:00 PM on Monday so anyone is welcome to stay Sunday and leave Monday afternoon if they wish.

Money is tight this year, starting a new job two weeks after this meet, as well as moving (only about 15 miles away) with that move all of my money must go into the new house to remodel it before moving in. With that said, this will be a more laid back gathering. Bonfire, beers, detailing, general craziness... all the normal Michigan stuff just no go karts or drag strip. You will be responsible for your own food, but we can all pitch in and do big meals if that is what is decided.

As always, PLENTY of room for tents or crash in the house if you want.

Friday - arrivals, most people wash the cars when the arrive, tradition I guess Maybe a little fire, some beers and just BSing.
Saturday - detailing stuff, more washing, wrench time, parts store run, hit up some ice cream.
Saturday evening - the big fire! The house I am working on is all old plaster and lathe, so I will have a few truck loads of old wood lathe from that house to burn and that stuff will go up like crazy! Always gotta have a crazy big fire
Sunday - general BSing, breakfast, might have to watch Gone in 60 seconds or a Fast & Furious movie or two. Share in whatever craziness happened over the weekend. Some or most will leave, dinner at Sanford Lake Bar & Grill for some amazing pizza!!!
Monday - final goodbyes from those staying until the last minute to get some sleep before heading home.

Not going to be the most active meet, but those that have been here in the past know it is always a great time! I would love to see 10 - 15 or more cars here for the weeked

I should be able to go, now that I'm only 2 hours away. Once the date gets decided I'll know for sure.

Any date you set should work for me, as I will still have plenty of time off to use, even in September.

Also Matt, we've hit up Mid-Michigan Motorplex the last few years.

I'm in! Definitely in for go karts or a track day or all of the above. Tents and a bonfire sounds like a blast!

As Booze said, Mid Michigan Motorplex is the closest track.

Good to see some interest still in a Michigan Meet! Hoping to make this the biggest yet! I have a friend close by that also does detailing and I am sure I can get him to come out and bring some goodies as well.

Also, as with the last meet threads, keep an eye on this thread for updates, the first post will always be up to date with the most current information concerning this meet. A google map link will be posted soon for easy directions to my house.

If i can get my car back up and running good by then ...i will definitely be there. I been planning to go to at least one meet since i been a member but haven't been able to :(

I may not be too big on here yet and still a little green, but I'm always up for a good meet. I'll be just coming back from an LH meet in WI when I get ready for this one, lol.

I will know closer to the date. Liz moves to her grad school in August/September 2.5 hours further east from home, and I'm planning on booking my vacation time in October. We shall see!

G.O.N.E 2013 is Sept 18, 19, 20ish one of those days...otherwise I'm game.

14th would be better for me! Would love to make it out.

Just learned, the only dates I am completely unavailable are September 7th and 8th, as I am attending a LAN Party, and possibly the 21st and 22nd, as that is the weekend of Mid Ohio Con. I will also have to work at least one weekend in September, so it is going to be a very tight month for me.

The 14th may be the only weekend I can make it.
