This will no doubt, be new "news" to most of you that know Lane, but I wanted to share my thoughts with you.

I bought some parts from Lane that he had listed in the For sale section, and he was generous enough to meet me half way to save me the shipping cost.
We both ended up driving 2.5 hours, from opposite directions, meeting in Dubuque, Iowa.

Outstanding and very much appreciated Lane!

The side benefit for me, was that I meet a new friend, and it was scary just how much we had in common, like a brother from another mother, thing!

Before I realized it, we had talked for over 2.5 hours in the parking lot, covering several different topics, and we both had to hit the road back home.

Just wanted to say thanks for the enjoyable Sunday afternoon we spent together, Lane.

No pictures of us, but I did get one of our "parts runners" sitting together.

Yeah, Lane is our resident badass in these parts. He programmed my radio for me for free! Along with sharing his amazing amount of knowledge whenever people need it.

Awesome, I love mini-meets where you meet new members. I look forward to meeting him and the rest of the Chicago crew soon!

Thank Leon. I didn't realize it was 2.5 hours... geez, how time flies... I think I got a little sunburn on the old noggin.

And my phone is still locked up. this is the second time it's done this. So tomorrow it goes back to AT&T. Also, the downtown Dubuque McDonalds has the worst service EVAR!

Oh, so I forgot to regale this story...

After I met up with Leon, heading out I stop at the worst McDonald's in the chain (downtown Dubuque). As I'm standing in line for 20 minutes for a bunch of freaking chicken mcnuggets, some portly, fat, short, one strand of hair waste of carbon, who looks half retarded, and that this is his big day on the town, proceeds to tell me that the flag, on the arm of my Snap-On jacket, is on backwards...

It went downhill from there!

Well, in a very "loud" fashion, I told him what he could with himself that is anatomically incorrect (he was caucasion).

Seriously, like I sit around with a needle and yarn and sew in my spare time and I put that on... Wrong too...
