Hey folks. i just picked up a 95 SLE. its mostly base on the interior.(but i do have leather & center console.) i want to add just about every option i can it had factory, as i dont really like aftermarket stuff. i want to upgrade to bose, auto climate control, shift settings, seat controls in the center, steering wheel controls, the cluster with the information screen & compass,heated/dimming mirrors and the HUD. and the newer style steering wheel. what all will i need to do these upgrades?

theres' a 93 SSE that has everything except the HUD in the yard. but im wondering if ill have to completely strip the car? like the body harness or dash harness? im not a newbie to interior mods so i can handle it, i just not sure the wiring / parts/ years i will need to make those things work correctly. thanks.

what i have now. ( as far as options)

I'm sorry but why don't you just buy a SSE or an i?
They have all that you're looking for with far less work. What you're proposing is basically a complete gut job, including wiring harness'. With the different years I believe there are connector/reader incompatibilities too.

Yeah LOTS of work going into that. I agree, buying an SSE or i, would be a lot less work. Just my honest opinion.

But that aside, I would get a factory service manual, multi meter, good soldering iron, etc. Make sure you know 12 volt systems well too.

well because budget is an issue. if i just had money i would buy a newer ssei. but thats not the case.
im used to doing stuff like this without a problem.

and me doing my body harness in my 300m just to get rear door speakers.

A person on this forum has put the SSE cluster in a 97 SLE. His username is l67se. I do not know all the details but he said it was a lot of work.

You helped, lol? Nice...it seems like pics of me are sprouting up everywhere as of late. Stupid blower motor resistor, worst part of the whole *dang* swap, but that Special PCM was a decent trade off. Like I said, not at this meet, the most I'll be doing is doing a rear bumper swap if we go yarding this time.

Its will be a lot of work... Best year to look for will be 95 as the 95's got the updated ECC... But to be able to add all of the toys you want, you will need the wiring harness to make it all work properly as well as the modules for the DIC and the Compass.. Bose audio was first used in 97 for the Bonnevilles iirc... I have thought about doing this to my 95, Have a 94 SSE for this, but I think I will just fix the 94 SSE and drive it...

Not sure if its worth the headache of doing the swap... But if you go this route you will want a mostly unmolested 94-95 SSE, 95 being the one I would choose if there is a choice...
