GXP shifter light bulb out(between seats)

2004 bonneville GXP. There is no lighting for the shift selector between the seats.
Shop wants $100 in labor to replace bulb.
Is there step by step instructions w/pics on how to replace? Mainly how to take it apart , so I don't break it. Lol
Also, the passenger side heated seat switch. It works fine and lights up to tell you it is on, but the nighttime back-light is burned out.
New switch is about $48. $50 labor. Step by step?
Thanks

I'm going to make a video that is a little more smooth, but this will help you.

Here is the write up for the seat switches.
Bulbs for the seats are #7219 from Radio Shack. You need a Torx 10 to remove the switch from the bezel.
The switch. You wanna pry into the side with only one slot.
Everything taken apart.
And here's a video. It's a little tricky to get into the switch. You need a tiny flat head. Also, be careful when you take off the little orange cap from the bulb. Some of them are brittle and will fall apart or tear. Unlike the radio buttons, it's not the buttons themselves that makes the switches glow red, but the little cap. So be careful! If you heat up the solder under the bulbs they will come off. Pull the little white base off the bulb and fish the wires of the new bulbs in there. It's pretty easy and straight forward. You'll have to curve the wire under it and solder it back on.

Does anyone know what the actual Pontiac trade# is for this bulb?
Thanks
Found a # on the bulb: ht 37. Autozone had #37 bulbs that were 14volt.
They work great!

It is a Sylvania 37. Two pack bulb. Great video! Sadly Murphy's Law hit and when I replaced the passenger side heated seat switch the driver side switch went as well. These switches are special order. The gear shift light is easy as the video shows.

On the bulbs for the seat heat switches those are actually part number 272-1092 from Radio Shack, your pic didnt show the top of the packaging.. I found it on the following post.
http://www.pontiacbonnevilleclub.com/fo ... c7188.html
however if you go to this link you can get 10 of the bulbs delivered for right about $10 which is way better than running to Radio shack.. The bulbs also work in the LED display on the radio and the lights behind the lower control buttons on the radio.

I've replaced mine and I used a LED #37 bulb. Total cost for me was a couple bucks for the LED's. I should open my own shop offering to swap bulbs, charging $100 a job. Easy money if you ask me. If you use LED's, make sure to buy a red one, the white ones are WAY too bright and will make the red film on the selector look pink when lit up. I went with red, and it looks pretty great. Here's a mini writeup on how to do this, sorry but no pictures available.
1) Watch the video sethjamesrimrodt put up and take off the dash bezel and while thats off, remove the panel with your heated seats (Or cubby)
2) Pull up on the panel that your shifter goes through. Be gentle but firm, and you shouldnt break it.
3) You should see a little box that has your gear indicator panel lid on it. Remove this lid carefully and remember where the parts were to begin with. There is a little black flap that is used to conceal light from passing through and allowing your gear to be selected. This is a pain in the *butt* to get back in perfectly, but I'm sure you can do it.
4) After all of this is out of the way, you'll see a little chamber with the bulb at the base. Go ahead and remove and replace this bulb.
5) Reverse these steps and if all goes well, you should be in good shape.
Obviously, I dont take any responsibility if you accidentally break or lose something. This is not the perfect guide, but its better than nothing. Only do this if you feel confident enough to do it, otherwise, fork over $100 to that shop so they can perform a 5 minute service.

All joking aside, anyone want to open a shop with me where all we do is change bulbs, windshield wipers, rotate tires, etc. and charge ridiculous prices? Its crazy to think that shops get away with this sort of highway robbery because people don't bother looking online. Props to you, FrankAR15!
