4T60E Shifter Assembly holding pin/nail

So as I was disassembling the tranny, the pin started coming coming off but the head and part of the body just kind of snapped and broke. Any idea how to take it out at this point? Should I just drill into it?

No don't drill it, it's pressed into a specific bore size.
Use a vice-grip to lock on, then try to work it out. That piece is pressed in, and anything but a perfectly straight pull will make things worse. If it's too short to grab, you'll have to weld a blob onto the end to get a grab surface.
Why do you need to remove it? If that shaft isn't broke there's no need.
