Cell Phone or GPS dash mount that actually works

I found this mount that works with most phones and some GPS's. I got it to suction mount right in front of the compass. It is a great spot for putting your phone if you use it for GPS or music. I know it's hard to find one that works with the Bonnevilles dash, so I figured I'd post it in here.

The holder squeezes the phone, and can open pretty wide.

I bought it on amazing here:$12.99 plus free shipping(tax depending on your state) http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00687 ... 01_s00_i00

I would suggest putting it on the left side of the windshield(if you can get it to flip and turn the right way), thats where I put mine when I use my Garmin.

I want to leave it in a spot where I don't have to take it off every time I leave the car. Leaving it on the windshield is a sign saying "I have a GPS, come break into my car!". I live in NYC and work in Brooklyn. I wanted to put it there, but then I'd also have to run the wires for the charger and sound as well as have to remove it all the time.

I can look in your driver side window and do the same lol

Plus I dont use my GPS all the time so it only gets on there for long trips when I dont know where Im going.

But now I have an iPhone with the Garmin app so I dont use it that much anymore.

I'm a big fan of a dedicated GPS in each of our vehicles. I have identical Garmins with traffic receiving, and I've wired up dedicated circuits to keep them powered at all times. In California we can't mount things on the windshield, so mine is mounted lower on the dash, and that's fine with me, and keeps the opportunity thieves away. Also with GPS units coming down so much in price, they aren't the high theft target that they used to be. If I turn off the unit, nobody really knows or cares that it's there.

I don't have to worry about not having my phone with me, as I can always rely on it being there, and I just find that having a dedicated device for it makes more sense.
