Good evening gentlemen, This afternoon on the way home my dearest money pit Aka Bonnie Aka My wife hates her started to stumble hard. I pulled her over and started to troubleshoot. noticed a loud hiss in the front half of the engine so i looked at all the vac. lines all were good so i grabbed some carb cleaner and started shooting it at the possibilities came to the fuel rail sprayed the circle don't know what its called and it calmed the stumbling and the vacuum hiss stopped spraying it started to stumble again. looking for folks to confirm my fear do i have to replace the fuel rail if so has anyone done a write up also is this possible that this part can develop a vacuum leak ?
Again thank you all for the support

The circle reservoir that is built into the fuel rail? I can't see how spraying carb cleaner at that would make it stop. If there was any hole in that reservoir you would have fuel leaking out everywhere. Are you sure it wasn't spraying somewhere else to cause the hissing to stop.

I sprayed it with white grease too and its would calm down the hiss. everything else is solid. I don't see any fuel anywhere. I also don't remember it being so loud. Have you heard it on any of your Bonnies? Now that i remember it has been progressing from a slight hiss to a loud hiss

Just to be sure, we are talking about this piece, correct?
I have no idea why spraying anything on there would calm a hiss.

yes sir.. when i sprayed it with white grease it calmed it down but once it was sucked in it would start again its a suck in not a blow out

That should be under around 45 PSI of fuel pressure, so if had a leak, it would leak fuel out, not suck things in.

what would cause a loud hiss coming from that spot also its showing p0300 general misfire and flashing the ses light. Also rechecked the vacuum lines again they have vacuum no leak

Agreed, i'd be checking all the vacuum lines and fittings in the area of the supercharger. If anything happened to that sphere on the fuel rail you'd be getting douched with fuel.

I have checked the vacuum line over and over all lines are solid. the car is stumbling but the rpms don't jump around at all i cam run the car but it feels horrible. My other suspect maybe the icm because at one point it gave me a code that showed misfire on 5, So i pulled the plug checked spark plug wire i had a new coil from a past project replaced it nothing changed. I will check the pressure tomorrow. when i get a break im on daddy duty tonight

Actually, try this....Try shooting your S/C to LIM mating surface, and your LIM to cylinder head/engine block mating surface with carb cleaner while the car is running. It's a long shot, but I'm suspecting a bad gasket seal. There's no way that bulb would have any affect like such. It's not under a vacuum, it's under pressure, it would be spraying everywhere vs pulling in.

Tested again this morning but with more light and no distractions when spraying the fuel rail the over spray was leaking onto the supercharger which would cause it to stop the stumble. so i sprayed at the base and that sound like i have located my vacuum leak. the gasket needs replacing..parts on order for that gasket keeping fingers crossed also will redo the o rings for the injectors while I am there
