Alright so I was driving around town and wanted to increase the fan speed on my A/C, however the climate control unit immediately shut off leaving me unable to control the A/C or heat.

So now I am hooped with no way of changing the temperature in my Bonneville and I will need to solve this problem before snowfall.

so the climate control pannel looks like its powered off? everything else in the car working? i would 1st check fuses, then i would remove the dash trim and remove the control and reinsert it to see if it powers back up. i would think if the control pannel just went completely powered off that it would be something other then the pannel itself. but if you need a repacement one of the guys here dismantles bonnievilles and im sure has a pile of them cheap if you cant find one at a local salvage yard. It slides in and out easily so it would be easy to check/remove. i would definatly start by checking all the fuses, keep in mind some of the fuses are under the rear seat as well.

The climate control panel does not function or display temp data. Everything else in the car is working (except fuel the gauge). I have already checked every fuse back and front. You think it is connection? That is possible. What is the possibility of a low charge in the battery affecting it?

The climate control unit itself probably doesn't need so much juice that a low battery would affect it. Pop it in and out and if it still doesn't work. PM Harofreak00. As Redzmonte mentioned, he'll have a ton of replacements for you for cheap.

This thread shows you how to access the climate control by removing the dash trim: http://www.pontiacbonnevilleclub.com/fo ... =18&t=7188

I tested the connection and it doesn't work. So it seems to be the unit itself. I will need to buy a replacement.

What is the part number for climate control?

I found a replacement for $140.00 in Calgary. It was a quick and easy job too. I think that just about does it for my summer maintenance.

Thank you for the advice.
