bad day

well after only 167 miles on my replacement engine it lost all oil pressure today and totally locked up
the thing is the guy that i bought this engine from is avoiding me
wont answer my calls
wont return my texts
seems to have vanished
i admit i got burned and have egg on my face
im looking for a good 3.8 series 2 for my car

I would suggest 2 things:
One:

Two: You can TRY a JY/Pick-n-Pull. I'd try to get some verification that the motor is indeed good first (checking coolant/oil etc) and what it costs/any warranty.

Ugh. Sorry to hear about that - it's so disheartening to have that happen. Had that same situation happen several years ago with the tranny on my Monte Carlo. Hope you're able to get it back on the road soon!

found an engine via car-part from lkq 90k miles at a decent price.now to get the old one out

Check the UIM for the printed date on top. Make sure you inspect it before taking it for UIM/LIM possible failure signs.

got brand new uim and aluminum lim gaskets ready to go
new thermostat
new plugs and wires ready to go
