Rattling rear view mirror...suggestion?

OK so last Thanksgiving I had my windshield replaced, and ever since my rear view mirror has rattles and shaken. Its pretty loose. Its the auto dim and has no screw to tighten it and the small shims I was using aren't cutting it. Can someone please give me suggestions to get it tight again?

Thanks!

You should have taken it back to whoever did the windshield replacement. There's really no reason (unless the shop somehow used an incorrect sized mounting button on the windshield) for the tension spring-tab mounted mirrors to be loose unless something somehow got broken or bent on the tab, in which case the only remedy would be to swap the mirror out. I'd try going back to them and see what they say.

There's no way to stabilize it with a shim of some sort? (I must confess I've not looked at it closely)

If it moves and shouldn't: Duct tape.
If it doesn't move and should: WD-40.

I'll take it back and see what they can do. That bastard just shakes terrible right now.

Try taking it off and putting it back on to make sure its seated correctly and everything. Mine use to shake real bad when I got my subs but I took it off and put it back on and it doesn't shake at all now. I could tell I got it on a little further and tighter. Guy who did my tint must not of pushed it on all the way
