Window and door lock switches not working from the drivers door?

Do the window switches work on the other doors?

If so, you most likely have a bad main window switch module, just fixed mine myself a week ago.

Well full story.....(Stupidity included)

I accedently left my driver door wide open and walked back into my house, Well all of a sudden the skies opened up and boom all over my driver controls, they worked for like a day after but seem to have shorted out of coarse, but today i used a wire brush and some rubbing achol (< So spelled wrongly) and i got some fuctionalilty back out of it so should i give that another go to try to get a full recovery, does anyone else have any nefty cleaning tips?

Might as well try it, worst comes to worst you will have to buy a new switch anyways, so not really out anything but time and effort if it don't work.

I would try something less aggressive then a wire brush though.

I would try rubbing alcohol first with a qtip, then move up in aggressiveness from there... honestly not sure where to go from there though, I would think that much more aggressive would maybe ruin the contacts on the circuit board (if they aren't already ruined anyways)

A pencil, and then an ink eraser is a nice step up from there.

I have the same or similar problem. When you say "Main Window Switch Module" are you referring to the actual panel of window switches on the driver door? The reason I ask is because my lock/unlock switch doesn't work either on the driver door and it is a separate switch assembly. All other doors work fine independently.

-Update-
I replaced the driver door switch panel, fixed!
