Other cars with Heads Up Display

Hey guys. Since Pontiac is six feet under, I'm at a loss as to what my next future car would be. I've grown so accustomed to HUD that I'm hoping to have it on my next car. What cars 2000 and newer have HUD?

Its available on Buick Lucern, GMC acadia, BMW M3, 5 series and 6 series, uhhh, Corvette. Oh, the new lexus something or other...

00+ Bonnevilles and LeSabres and Park Aves (I think they do, anyway. It was surprising to me when I saw my dad's "new" 04 LeSabre Limited has it, so I figure Park Aves can have it too), latest gen LaCrosses, some Caddies.

Park Ave's could have had it, my Grandpa's 97 does. I was not aware LeSabre's could have it, lol.

I'm positive 92-99 LeSabres didn't have it available. I guess by '00 they decided enough old fogies wanted it too. lol

Dad's '03 Park Avenue Ultra has it in it, and a friends 02 Lesabre does as well.

So the Lucerne does have it? I was trying to find that out but couldn't find anything online to answer that. Love those cars.

Caddy's too. If any GM has it, Caddy will. 09+ STS's did had it as an option. Not sure about the CTS's.

The new body style ('10+) Lucerne has it. Also, the 2011+ Camaro has it as an option.

Did any G8 models come with HUD? I'm having the hardest time finding a Lucerne with HUD...plenty of LaCrosse though.

Oh crap, it's the LaCrosse that got the HUD. I messed up, that's my bad.
No G8's got a HUD.
Honestly, I'd love my next car to have a HUD, but it likely won't...

Holden products (G8 and GTO), do not have HUD, but many of the things HUD shows, is a selectable menu option in the D.I.C.

A lot of modern BMWs seem to have it. They make a big thing of it in their advertising over here... I just think to myself: GM were doing it 20 years ago, BMW! Get over yourselves!
Wasn't it also available in the Seville STS 1998-on?

Yea, I thought the same when I saw that commercial. It's actually closer to 30 years that GM has been doing it. It was around the Mid-80's that GM put it into the Corvette, then it trickled down to all top level Pontiac's by the late 80's.
No, 1998 STS's did not have HUD. I don't think it was available until 2005 with the STS and required the adaptive cruise control. 2005 was the redesign and now on a RWD platform. Then it was available from 2009 on the STS-V. I don't know why they didn't include it on the "V" as I would love it on mine... Probably something to do with not wanting to put the Adaptive cruise on it too.

I would never use HUD as a major purchase feature. If you're torn between two cars it could help decide, but don't say "Hud or nothing" when shopping in the future.
