It's a common problem, with no single solution. Things left that it could be are the ball joints and control arm bushings. Also, we've seen vibrations were indeed from wheels that were "balanced".

I don't no who balances ur tires but I am a tire tech and I have balanced my tires down to the smallest of minimal vibration and still from 60-70 worst at 65 it shakes its ass off and it feels as though its coming from the rear of the car...

Ive got 4 brand new tires...and firestone just checked off on the entire front end...said nothing is bad and alignment is good. It still shakes like crazy from 50-65. I wonder if its the slack in the intermediate shaft causing it?

The ISS won't cause it.

Did this occur before the brand new tires?

I was going to post this in a separate message, however, seeing this, I thought what I went through might help. Yesterday I think I finally licked this problem......
1) when I got the car I replaced the front tranny mount like everyone else has
2) tune up
3) had to get a set of new tires about 4-6 months earlier than I planned, the set on the car when I got it had fix a flat in it that came loose.
4) replaced the worn, front tie rods (the one you have to fill with grease that is like 6-8" long...I think I got the right part there)
5) had a front hub assembly go bad, replaced with a timken (yes, I read the boards and listen)
6) was a little low on tranny fluid, topped off
7) AND FINALLY....
I got lucky that I was able to borrow a tech 2 for a day when I was trying to fix the ABS/VCS/ECBM/ABCDEFG computer and realized I had to put in a new one (different story). I saw that I had a small misfire on cylinder #4. I thought it might be a bad gasket and that I was going to be up the creek....but it wasn't using any coolant, and I can't exactly remember what caused me to check this, but my coil on cylinder #4 was out of spec. I got a Napa (made in the USA!!!) coil for like 40 bucks and she has power like she never had AND, driving it quickly on some back roads last night, it appears that the shimmy may have finally gone away, or at least to the point where I don't feel it anymore!
That is what I needed to do, your mileage may vary....hope that helps!
