well, its been months since i've been on. The bonnevilles barely moving. I have a question about a coolant leak. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I am out of town on business and my wife was driving the other day and she noticed smoke coming out of the hood. She got the car home and she facetimed me. I saw coolant on the engine. She swears its coming from the back of the engine. There is coolant under the car toward the passenger side of the engine. I havnt looked under the hood since the last oil change are there any coolant lines near that area? sorry for the lack of info guys im usually better than this. I have to fix this problem the day i get home for business reasons so i wanna try to get it sorted out as soon as possible. thank you all

Pictures would help. The lines from the tensioner to the the heater core run along the back of the engine.

thanks arch. ill try to get the wife to post some. when we facetimed over the iphone, i noticed lots of splatter right above the airbox on the driver side of the engine. so i guess it could be coming from anywhere.

Could also be one or both of your coolant elbows, which are on the passenger side of the engine. Really easy to fix and cheap too. The elbows are $5 or so at any auto parts store. Good Luck! Hope it isn't anything too serious

well guys i just got home from texas for 3 months. Finally looked at the car and i figured out the problem. i do have a video showing where the leak is coming from but its too small to actually see the hole so il explain first.
Looking between the alternator and the rear valve cover in a small crevass, i noticed what looks to be like a small golden freeze plug maybe 3/4'' around. Well there is a small puncture in it for whatever reason and when i press the gas coolant shoots out of it clear across the engine roughly 3 to 4 feet. What could have caused this!!
