New GXP owner intro

An introduction to all. I have owned the 05 GXP for a month now, and so far I've had to replace
the intermediate shaft on the steering column due to the wicked pop noises coming from it,
plus the missing trim piece behind the drivers' side door. Otherwise, a truely fun car to drive.
This makes the 5th Pontiac I've owned ('67 Goat, '78 T/A, '68 Catalina, and '98 Grand AM). Spent 26 years
in the Navy Submarine Service, stationed aboard 5 different boats and around the globe. I now work
Civil Service in Kings Bay, Georgia.
Do almost all work on my cars myself and am now looking into acquiring the factory shop manuals
for the GXP. I've read through most of the forums on the site and find them very useful. I haven't really
stretched the GXP's legs yet, so this weekend looking forward to seeing what its' capable of. The car
just turned 37,800 miles. Will try and post some pix this weekend.
