Odd sound coming from glove box area

My 2002 SE has a strange electrical/mechanical click then surge sound coming from the glove compartment area. It only does it for about 2 seconds at a time. I don't have a diagram of the car so I can't figure out where it is actually coming from. I know my uncle had a Chevy Blazer and the water pump was behind that so he had to take apart that part of the car to get to it. Any ideas? I also have no idea if this is contributing to my current coolant leak which appears to be coming from just above the oil filter on the passenger side of the engine.

Does it do it with the climate control turned off? It could be one of the actuators slipping in your hvac thingy. Your coolant leak sounds like maybe a bad seal on the water pump or a leaking plastic coolant elbow.

Hey Hans. I've identified my coolant leak as the plastic elbow which I hear is a regular issue for Bonneville owners. Thanks.

Try playing with you heater and ac. Might be the blower motor or actuators as Hans mentioned. I would try all of the settings to make sure that they work. Blower motors are pretty common issues for some owners. I have replaced mine twice since I have had my 02 SLE.

Is it kind of a creeking/chirping kind of noise? Does it usually happen before the car warms up? Mine does the same thing and ive concluded its the dashboad mount creeking. Its unbelievably annoying but i havent had a chance to pull it apart to find and fix the issue.
