NEWBEE HERE

Hello, I've got a 2003 silver SLE with just over 200k on it. It's in great shape except for where some body ran into it the first night I had it and creased my front fender. I've got several issues but none that are catastrophic. I have 2 kids and a wife , their ages are 17, 13, and over 40. I'm a semi- retired Cop getting a degree in CJ and have been a rescue volunteer for nearly 20 years. I have several other vehicles but the Bonneville is the nicest.
I hope to get all kinds of information from those of you who are willing to share about mods and such. I don't usually keep anything stock, i'm always fiddlin with something. I've got lots of questions and for now I'll look in the archives. So, I don't ask the same ol things that have been answered 1000 times before. Thanks in advance,

Rob

Hi,
Welcome to the club! I'm also in the 40+ wife/gf business, except mine is not over 40, but exactly 40. :) I'm not yet retired though, I have 13 more years to go ... until I'm 65 (someone with a calculator might think ... hmmm ... 65 minus 13 minus 40 ... hmmm, luckily one!). That is, if I can afford to get retired; I doubt I will in this crazy world of today.
I don't think it's an issue if you ask questions that has been asked before. From my experience the admins prefer that you open up new threads, rather than continuing on very old ones. And in that situation you need to "ask the question" again.

This one is a good maintenance list to go by, to make sure everything is in tip top shape.

welcome to the club...there's a few of us over 40 with kids around here-never too old to appreciate a good car though.

:pooper: Well, I'm glad I'm not 17 anymore.

Sometimes I wish my body still felt and looked like it was though. :ballkick:

Finally getting around to reading the reply post. Thanks to all ya'll who answered. I'm actually 48, my wife is the barely over 40. I love Pontiacs. My first car was a 73 GTO(the ugly one)and my second was a 77 Grand Prix(T-Tops w/ all LJ and SJ options) I miss them both, cousins decided to total them for me, oh well. I'm back in the Pontiac camp after a long stint in the Olds and Cadillac camp.I will certainly ask for ALOT of opinions and suggestions. Thanks again. See ya on the forum.
