we just got our 2000 ssei with 100005 miles, its white with some of the common issues
rear windows dont work, did a mod to keep them up for now
air was half cold so added coolant now works fine
tires were cracked new shoes general altimax
wheels bearings both make loud noise front doing the replacement now new nut and mounting bolts from gm.
new gaterback belts for both new pulleys
air compressor does not work, need some help to figure this out???
ses light on as well as abs so the wheel bearing hub may correct that.
small miss fire when stopped every once in a while?
we hope we can invest into the car and get some good mileage out of it.
that being said we got it for 2250.00 and its in very good shape looks wise.

been reading this sight alot after buying this car. where do I get a decal with your logo on it?

thanks for any help in answers to our many questions.

Thanks all
scott

Sounds like you were lurking for a while, there... :???:

Ah, WTH, Welcome to the Club!

The SES light and misfire cause me a little concern, but it could be as simple as bad plugs, or MAF, or O2 sensor.
OTOH, it could be as major as a UIM failure... :sad5:

I would recommend getting the car scanned as soon as you can.
You might be near a member with a scanner.
Adding your location to your profile would a good idea. Most of us are willing to come out and help a member in need, if they're nearby.

$2250? not a bad deal for a 2000SSEi that runs and drives...I paid over twice that a year ago for my 01 and it had a few issues as well.

welcome to the club.

Whoops, did I say UIM failure? I didn't see the "SSEi" in your profile...still, a scan should be a priority.

Welcome to Pontiac Bonneville Club! :)

It sounds like your on the right track so far. Get it all repaired and properly tuned and maintained, then start your mods. That way you have a known good point to start and you take on less risk.

Feel free to post your repair or maintenenance questions in the proper forum here (preferably one at a time) and we'll help you get it in ship-shape.

If you haven't already, spend a little time in the TECHINFO section at the top of the page. Lots of good info, including our recommendations for what plugs and O2 sensors to use, etc.
