Looking for Dimensions size for a GXP onstar mounted antenna.

My on star antenna was missing also when I bought my GXP so I went to the salvage yard and found all GM cars that had an on star anntenna and snaged all I could find that way I would not have any problems with it.Well I did find two complete anntennas and one extra basesome 3m double face tape and it works like a charm cost $4 for both.

I just bought one brand new from ebay and snapped it in. But now its still loose. I think i will have to get the headliner down to secure it.

How did you manage to get yours in and tight?

I might have a diffrent set up or we are not on the same page.My antenna was stuck to the back window.When you say it's loose do you mean the mast or the base.If it's the mast there is a set screw that you can tighten if it's what i'm thinking of.

Im talkina bout the onstar antenna on the roof. I think the 04 models have theres on the back window. but the 05+ have just 2 in 1 antenna (onstar / xm radio) on the roof.

Thats the one im talkin about thats loose.

hes referring to the one on the roof..and i betcha your referring to the antenna on the back window

Yea mines on the window .Sorry can't help.But it does sound like the liner has to come down.

OnStar = Cellular Telephone looking antenna in upper corner of rear window
XM Satellite antenna = ugly, black square thing at the back edge of the roof, that is bolted to the car and you need to drop the headliner to get to.

Yea its the XM Satellite antenna. I tried taking down the headliner but looks like you need special type of tool.

Is there any write up on how to drop down the headlienr...will be a great help.

There is a small bolt that goes into the bottom of the antenna once you push it through the hole... the bolt holds a clip that locks it in place.

05's switched to Digital OnStar, which then integrated both antennae together. 04's had them separate.

Yes. '05's also got the nicer antenna because of the combo.
