Transmission compatibilities

Would a series 1 4T60HD tranny from a 92 car bolt to a series 2 engine (from a 2000 car)?
Also would a series 1 4T60HD tranny from a 92 car fit in a non-supercharged 96 car?

1. Yes, but the 2k car wouldn't run with it. The controls are totally different. In some cases, the axles wouldn't bolt up either.
2. Fit yes, work, no. 92 was a unique year and isn't even compatible with 93.

What is the purpose behind these questions?
