Anyone feeling adventurous?

Well, Scangauge and Scangauge II are out of the question for us driving the oldies.

I want to know who here has any experience with the OpenGauges MPGuino project or anything similar with our cars. If no one really has any experience, who would be interested in doing a joint pre-OBDII experiment with our cars and some MPGuino fun?

I have a little experience with various microcontrollers and writing a little in C, so I'm game for trying, and at ~$60 for an entrance fee to the MPGuino game, I'm all for it.

It looks promising, if a little intimidating, but whoever thought doing all your own automotive stuff was going to be a cakewalk? :)

Also if anyone can offer info regarding protocols and such for the older cars, it would be helpful.

Anyway, here are some links.

Happy 4th, everyone!

I do not have experience with them but I do frequent Ecomodder and there is a good group there that will help if you need it.

I read a little bit there. They've got some interesting stuff going on.
