ZZP HV3 Insert
Has anyone here installed ZZP's HV3 Insert? Good butt dyno results? Im contemplating on buying this, it is 200 dollars, just wondering if its worth it.

Jrs3800 bought one and wasn't too impressed with it. He said he did feel a difference in the midrange pull, but lost a noticeable portion of his lowend torque. Final opinion was it wasn't worth the cost.
I'd start with porting the lower intake. That'll gain a decent amount, and hella cheaper than the HV3.

Even though you mentioned butt dyno results, there's a big difference between feeling loss of low end vs. actual overall (track) results.
That said, the HV3 is only worth it if you're GT cammed, ER rockered, or turboed. At that point, you're limiting overall power with super long runners intended for low rpm port charging.

I will be using the HV3 on my 95 Bonneville with that GT1 Cam...
a little off topic here...
I was happy with the HV3 while I was at 4000-6000 Rpms... Not too thrilled with it at low Rpms and say 3500... Felt like I was dragging a little...
Now If I was rolling at 35 Mph and I hit it, the power up top was very good... The pull from 65-90 in second was also strong... But I am not at 4000-6000 all of the time...
Now here is the reason I feel this way.... In my van I used the Comp Cam NA Performance Cam.... I am not 100% certain but I believe that this cam was designed with the long runners in mind.... The can with the stock runners was strong all across the board.... Also the van is about 4000 Lbs... Takes a bit to get it moving, every bit of low end grunt I can get helps.. The Cams range is 1000-5500... So I will go back to the stock runners... Not too worried about it...
All the other Mods will hit the 95 Bonneville... A car that will be fun to drive...
The van is a ha ha kind of fun as no one suspects the van of being capable of anything... And they can never figure out where that rumble is coming from... When they do get it figured out the WTF look is just priceless....
So the HV3 may be great on a stock motor, maybe with a GT1 cam... But in my case it was not the greatest... So on the car it will go with that GT1 Cam...lol
