Ok, I've searched high and low and can't seem to find an answer.
Trying to install a new HU in my '02 SE and wondered what other people were using instead of the metal brackets that were mounted on the factory radio?

I seem to be missing the threaded retainer clips to put screws in to hold the new HU mounting kit to the dash:


You can see the slots above and below where the original metal clips attached, but I don't see any way to attach those to my new mount. I would think if I could get those clips, I could just screw the new kit to the dash:


Any ideas??

I was thinking from past GM installs that they each had something like this:

It's called a 'U' Nut...

There is a special snap in retainer nut, not sure why yours are missing... but I'd be glad to sell you some

you can also try the nylon nuts that are used for rear license plate holder, the white square ones that u can plug into the square holes and the put a screw into. you can buy those at autozone and they come in two diferent sizes. i had to do this before and it does work its just been a while so i forgot which sized one it was.
