{Q} with Amplifier "Gain" or "Level Cotrol"

I just got a amplifier installation kit. Now I'm pre-wiring. There is nothing in kit that pertains to the "level control" input area on the amp. The level control input jack is the same as a telephone jack. Should I run a telephone wire in the pre-wireing assemble, then get a control device for it later ? viewtopic.php?f=13&t=25794

Ah. Your amp has a hookup for a remote gain control knob. They can normally be had for about $20. Find the appropriate knob for your amp on the internet, and see if the cable is hardwired to the little module or if it plugs in. If it's hardwired, pre-qiring a cable would be a waste of time and cable since you'd have to do it all over again. My new amp has the same thing, although, the cable looks like phone wire, but has less pins so a phone cable jack wouldn't fit.
