Bleeding cooling system

How would i go about bleeding a cooling system on a 98 lesabre just want to make sure i have all air out, i see the bleeder just wanna make sure its running good

If you follow this you should be all set. You can bleed the air without having to drill a hole in the thermostat. Might just take a little longer.

Get the car up to running temp, crack the bleeder till coolant comes out. Air will come out before the coolant so tighten it back down as soon as you see coolant run out.

If the system was drained there may be air in the heater core. The manual says to heat the car until the lower radiator hose is warm (probably after driving it somewhere is best). Run the engine at 2500 rpm for 10-15 seconds. Idle. Repeat for a total of 5 times. I do this with the car in my driveway which has an up hill slope so the heater is lower than usual relative to the rest of the cooling system.
After the heater is purged, then bleed at the thermostat cover!
