Got my 96' SE about a month ago from a towing company needed a waterpump that was purchased with the car for only $840. Had 101,056 now 103,xxx. Car has leather interior(full power seats minus memory),I believe to be the Bose sound package(w/steering wheel controls and the power antena with 2 speaker grilles on the doors). It needed inspected and emissions. I did a full tune up as well, For a almost new running car with decent miles for about 1300. Sorta a gem in it's rough now. Needs clayed(any sugestions) and buffed. Tires are getting low thinking of just finding a cheap set of rims and tires off craigsist. Plan on tinting the windows and I need a new headunit since the bulbs went in the oem. Having trouble with images give me a sec.

That's a very good purchase price. With your leather, I'm can tell you that the car has the H4U RPO code (spare tire cover) for the SLE package. You have one step down from the venerable SSEI seats (AL7), your car has the AL6, lacking the 3 lumbar chambers and adjustable side bolsters. You may also have electronic (not manual) climate control with that package.

The best advice I can give you is to get rid of the DEX-Cool if the stuff is orange www.dex-cool.com and read Techinfo for the time-tested upper intake manifold failures. That needs to be fixed BEFORE it fails and costs you a motor.

Welcome to the Forum! (Techinfo link at the top of the page).

Yea it has the electronic climate control. I'll have to figure out how to get the pics to upload. The dex cool was the first thing I checked.

Get rid of the DEX, and replace your LIM gaskets, UIM, and coolant elbow, and the car will give you years of good service.
