Passenger Power Seats

I have power seats with lumbar control which both operate from the center console. The driver's seat works perfectly fine. However, for the passenger seat I can only operate the lumbar controls. Everytime I try to operate the seat positioning, it moves the drivers seat respectively. Anyone have an idea what's happening here and how to fix it?

I don't know for sure, but it sounds like the left/right selector switch may be malfunctioning.

If it is the left/right seat selector malfunctioning, any idea what is involved to repair (labor/cost). Or if it may be something I can attempt on my own.

The first thing to do is pull it out and disconnect it. Examine the plug carefully for anything that might be shorted. Does the switch move freely, or feel sticky?

The switch does move freely from left to right. The lumbar does work for the passenger but nothing else. If I select the passenger seat (r) and attempt to move the seat, the driver seat (l) moves.

According to the schematic, the lumbar electrics and the motion electrics are handled completely separately.
On the lumbars, the Left-Right switch provides power DIRECTLY to the lumbar switch, which in turn powers the appropriate air valve (and the pump).
For the motion motors, this same left-right switch appears to trigger a "left-right-select-RELAY". It is possible that relay is not activating.
The seat motion switches also do NOT directly supply power to the motors; they just trigger a relay which powers the appropriate motor... plus the appropriate "back" or "forward" direction-control relay. All of these relays are shown as part of a "seat control module", which is supposed to be "under LH front seat"...
For your symptom, most of the trouble-shooting ends up with "replace seat control module"
