Sure it's not an Impala? I thought all Impalas had the Hofmeister kink, while the Caprice's had the triangular rear sail window.
Either way, looks mean!
Edited for spelling.

NICE FIND!! Although I've never driven one, I've always had a fancy for the LT1 B-bodies and would love to own one in the future if I ever leave the Bonneville group

I been researching more and more on these B Bodies. I now have owned 4 of them. The 9C1 police package is an Impala SS without the monotone paint and leather interior. Exact same drive train with heavier duty suspension, brakes etc.
GM also did make a low production Caprice SS. They are very very rare. I cant beleive how quick this thing is. If I get traction I am confident a very high 14 or a 15 flat is a realistic ET. Remember its 4000lbs. Its got one hell off a pull out of the hole and even at 80 it pulls harder. The guy I got it from did it right. I joined an IMPALA SS forum and already has 1 offer to buy it. Its not for sale. Their are alot of Impala SS for sale on kijiji. But no 9C1 Caprice SS. The flowmasters I installed really help it breath. Now if I can just keep my foot out of it. Its $1.33 here in London a litre ! If I can obtain some slicks Il run it this summer. Not for braggin rights.....just to kill the cat of curiosity!

I split this from your other post, as we have gotten way off topic here. Now that we are in the proper section, blab away.

A high 14 or 15 flat car? That seems a little slower than I expected. I ran a stock SS in my '01 Seville and needless to say, I beat him (he put up a good fight though). The SS, of course, had the edge off the line, but the Northstar just wound up and edged away (granted, I had beaten other Northstar Sevilles and Devilles before, so maybe it was a factory freak).

If a 280 HP FWD Bonneville that weighs 4k w/ driver hit 14.6, there's no way that car is slower than that, lol. I'm guessing low 14's possibly high 13's.

You could very well be right. I would say 75% is driver and the other is the car. Give 10 people the same car. Everyone will cut a different ET. Also a good track makes a difference. Weather etc are all factors. If i broke a 14, id actually be quite happy.
And sorry about the thread change. I appreciate it moving it to proper forum

I found this one, the 94 Impala SS. On motorweek. Bad video but says 15.6 E.T. from motorweek.

remember they are 4200lbs.
They did one on John Moss version with a 6 speed and some goodies
on a 96 Impala SS. it ran only a 14.7 E.T.
Still fairly impressive for a boat on wheels

I love the Mercury Marauder too. but thats another topic, lol

The quarter windows determand the year, Caprice and Inpala. Bonnie seats and consoles are getting to be common on those. A few people make the seat track adaptors and they sell good. Riviera and S10 consoles also favorites for those B bodies. I`m a member of the SS forum and had way too many B bodies. I haven`t been there in a while since I bought my 02 Bonnevile but I still have the urge to have another B body. Impala and Caprice SSs will have a emblem/badge below the AC controls on the dash. If you weren`t so far I`d offer a trade for my Bonneville but don`t tell my wife

Stock it's not the same power and an LT1 in a vette, they are pigs in the weight department.

Also the Vette has aluminum heads while the B bodies had cast iron.

I think the Caprice SS is from the middle east aka Iran area but I could be wrong.

I like!! I had 95 Buick roadmaster with the LT1. Ported and polished heads exhaust cold air intake and a 100HP shot of nitrous.
I miss that car
